Education Reform

• Increase Competition: Being a father of three, education is one of Michael B. Younan's top priorities. He believes that all children should have equal access to education. Michael believes in investing in a fully funded education system that gives every child the skills needed to succeed.  By introducing Vouchers, streamlining State Charter School Programs, and expanding the initiatives of Private Schools, this will have the effect of creating competition and will result in higher quality educational systems in Illinois. 
• Head Start: Michael B. Younan supports funding for Head Start.  Head Start is a proven successful program that can benefit the future of our Children.  It would be wise to further enhance this program so that all Children will be given an equal opportunity to acquire advanced skills.
• No Child Left Behind: Michael B. Younan supports the goals of the No Child Left Behind Act. The act was intended to eliminate the achievement gap and to ensure that all children succeed. However, much work is needed in the State to ensure that the program is adequately implemented.
